Social and quiet study spaces

Desks, carrels and lounges are available for private and group study. Power stations are located below desks to charge mobile devices and laptops.

Quiet study rooms

For ACT Health staff and students only.
Study rooms may be booked for individuals or groups of up to 6 people for study purposes only.
The maximum time allocation in 2 hours per person per day.
Please provide your name, E-mail address, Study Room number and specify the date and time you would to book.

Computer hub

Computers are available in the library. Log on to computers with your ACT Health username and password.  
iPads are available for loan. You will need to fill in the iPad Loan Agreement Form and return the iPad to the loans desk in person during business hours.
Please see staff at the loans desk for assistance.

Paging phone

The paging phone is located in a room to the left-hand side of the door

Print, copy and scan 

Login to the ACT Health Impravata network to print, copy or scan via the “Follow Me” service. Print and copy charges are automatically billed to the cost centre of your work unit/ division. For further information on setting up and using the “Follow Me” service, please refer to the following information provided by Shared Services.

Free Wi-Fi

To access free Wi-Fi, go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device and select the “HealthFree” network

Self-check machine

Library items can be borrowed via the self-check machine located near the front door.

Training room

Access to the training room is available for ACT Health staff only.

Food and beverage policy

This food and beverage policy is intended to maintain a clean and comfortable environment in the library:

  • Keep the lid on your food container while moving around the Library
  • Drinks are also permitted but please ensure that they are in a covered container (e.g. use a bottle cap or a cup with a lid)
  • Foods which may result in a mess should not be brought in to the Library
  • Any spills should be cleaned up immediately and Library staff alerted if larger spills occur or more cleaning is required. Cleaning products can be requested from the Library staff if required
  • Please dispose of all containers/rubbish in to the appropriate ‘Landfill’ or ‘Recycling Comingled’ containers
