Membership

The ACT Health library provides information services and resources to Canberra Hospital Services (CHS) staff, ACT Health Directorate (ACTHD) staff, ANU medical students, and students on work placement.

CHS and ACTHD staff membership

  • Borrow up to 5 books for 2 weeks
  • Off-site access to electronic resources including books, journals, databases, and mobile apps
  • Literature searches
  • Training on how to do a literature search
  • Training on how to use Endnote reference management software
  • Research support and advice
  • Article or book chapter request
  • 24/7 access to the library

CHS and ACTHD staff on short term contract for a minimum of 6 weeks (temporary membership)

Also available to Pastoral Care staff, Centre for Spiritual Care staff, nurses undertaking an ACT Health run course, and overseas nurses in training

  • Borrow up to 3 books for 2 weeks
  • Access to electronic resources in the library
  • 24/7 access to the library

Student membership

  • Borrow up to 3 books for 2 weeks
  • Access to electronic resources in the library
  • 24/7 access to the library

CHS and ACTHD staff can join the library by filling in the onlineĀ registration form. Please upload a scanned copy of your ACT health ID card.
Student and community members will need to register for membership at the loans desk.

Fee based membership

Individuals can become members of the Library for an annual fee, and pay for services as they require them.

Personal membership $100 per year
  • Access the library during business hours
  • Borrow up to 5 books for 2 weeks
