Document Delivery Service

The Document Delivery service aims to supply you with material that the Library does not hold. We can provide:

  • Journal articles
  • Book chapters
  • English and foreign language materials

All materials are subject to section 49 of the Commonwealth of Australia Copyright Act 1968.

Who may use this service?

This service is available to Canberra Health Services and ACT Health Directorate staff who are registered with the Library.

Delivery

Material will be delivered electronically to your preferred email address. Where copyright restricts email delivery, an alternative copy (usually print) will be made available.
Delivery times are dependent on the type of material, availability of resources from the supplying Libraries, and the specificity of your request. In most cases, materials are supplied within 4-7 working days depending on staff availability.

Urgent requests

If your request is urgent, please contact the Library’s document delivery team to discuss how we can support your requirements.

Fees and charges

The Library will endeavour to obtain requested materials through our network of Australian libraries and suppliers free of charge. Where charges may be incurred, we will notify you and seek your approval to proceed with your request. The cost of this service is $10 per article. Costs can be charged to your department’s cost centre or paid in cash at the Library.
